About This Charity

Sin City Great Dane Rescue has been operating in Las Vegas since 2008. Most people were unaware that we existed as we only took in one or two Great Danes at time and only operated by word of mouth. In the beginning we also financed the operation ourselves.

When word got out that we existed, we started getting dogs dropped off at our door almost weekly.

In 2018 we applied and received our 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity status! Once we got our nonprofit status we kicked up our advertising and Facebook and other social media presence. Last year we rescued 123 Great Danes and placed 120 of them in permanent homes. But along with the good comes the bad! Our expenses for food, vet bills. insurance, rent and utilities was in the low six figures. Thankfully, we have an amazing community and support system here in Las Vegas and we raised almost all of our expenses.

This year, Covid19 almost forced us to close our doors. If not for the amazing rescue community we would have faced an uncertain future. Currently we house 6 six rescues with 4 waiting to come in.

About This Charity

Toni’s House Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity that was founded in 2010. The organization aims to provide a safe living environment to help people in transition with the process of healing, as well as support in developing the skills needed for a healthy and successful life.

Toni’s House operates two facilities at separate sites in Las Vegas, NV, one residence for adult women and one for adult men. Though both houses are open to applicants who are in need of a place to live for any reason, the large majority of residents are in recovery from alcohol and substance addictions, and many have experienced prior periods of incarceration, homelessness, trafficking, and/or domestic violence.

It is our philosophy that lasting recovery is not just about learning to abstain from drugs and alcohol or damaging behaviors. Recovery is a process that requires that the underlying problems that lead people to any form of abuse or living instability is addressed. Accessible long-term living situations allow individuals time to focus entirely on their recovery without all of the pressures from the outside world. Our residents span generations in age and socio-economic backgrounds. They all have different needs and journeys to self-fulfillment. However, we have seen the most remarkable changes in our residents who stay long enough to holistically address any substance abuse, health, legal, financial, and family issues that they may have. This often takes time and a variety of resources, and we partner with other non-profits and individuals who help us to provide a well-rounded list of services for everyone’s needs.
